⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Handled a rare condition with utmost care!" 👶💖

Every child's dental journey is unique, and sometimes it starts much earlier than expected! We are deeply grateful for sharing his experience with our team:

"My daughter has a rare condition of having neonatal teeth, so happy that the pedia-dentists and other staffs handled it very well!!!! Will definitely come back for my kids consultation!!!"

💡 What Are Neonatal Teeth?
Early Eruption: Neonatal teeth are teeth present during the first 30 days of a newborn's life (unlike natal teeth, which are already present at birth).

Specialized Care Needed: Because these teeth are often underdeveloped, loose, or interfere with nursing, specialized pediatric evaluation is crucial to prevent choking risks, feeding discomfort, or tongue ulcers.

Navigating rare dental conditions can be overwhelming for parents, but our dedicated pediatric team and compassionate staff are always ready to provide gentle, expert guidance every step of the way! 💙

💡 Did you know? Your mouth is a gateway to the rest of your body! 🦷✨

Welcome to another episode of Chairside Chats with our very own Dr. Reyzle Obdamen! Today, we're talking about a crucial health connection that many people overlook: how your oral health directly influences your overall body health.

It’s easy to think that a cavity or a little bit of gum bleeding stays inside your mouth. But the truth is, the mouth is teeming with bacteria. When gum disease or deep tooth decay is left untreated, that harmful bacteria can enter your bloodstream and travel to other parts of your body! 🧬💨

Medical and dental studies have shown that poor oral hygiene and chronic mouth infections are closely linked to serious systemic conditions, including:
❤️ Heart Disease & Stroke: Oral bacteria can contribute to clogged arteries and inflammation in the cardiovascular system.
🍏 Diabetes Complications: Severe gum disease can make it much harder to control your blood sugar levels.
🫁 Respiratory Infections: Bacteria from the mouth can be inhaled into the lungs, potentially causing infections like pneumonia.

Taking care of your teeth and gums isn't just about achieving a beautiful, bright smile—it's a vital part of protecting your entire body! Routine dental cleanings and early treatments keep those harmful bacteria in check. 🛡️✨

✨ "Bakit kaya kumikirot ang ngipin ko kapag kumakain, pero wala naman akong nakikitang sira?"

In our latest Chairside Chat, Dr. Abi Sales highlights a hidden dental concern: your teeth can sometimes crack without you noticing!

Micro-cracks or hairline fractures in the tooth enamel are often invisible to the naked eye. In many cases, these tiny cracks only become noticeable when they start causing sudden tooth sensitivity to hot and cold or sharp pain whenever you bite and chew.

🔍 Warning Signs of a Hidden Cracked Tooth:
Chewing Pain: Sharp discomfort when biting down or releasing pressure after chewing food.

Temperature Sensitivity: Sudden zings of pain when drinking cold water or hot soups.

Intermittent Discomfort: Pain that comes and goes unpredictably rather than a continuous ache.

Left unaddressed, tiny cracks can extend deeper toward the tooth root or nerve, leading to severe infections or split teeth. Regular dental exams and high-resolution diagnostic imaging allow us to catch micro-cracks early before they turn into major dental emergencies!
