Tooth problems do not take days off, and neither do we.

Your mouth affects more than just your teeth.
Sleep:
Tooth pain, infections, and gum inflammation can make it hard to sleep comfortably. Gum disease can increase inflammation and stress in the body, which disrupts sleep. Oral issues like crowded teeth, tongue position, or ill-fitting dentures may also contribute to snoring or sleep apnea. Teeth grinding can cause jaw pain and headaches that further disturb sleep.
Heart health:
When gums are unhealthy, bacteria can enter the bloodstream. This can increase inflammation in the body and affect blood vessels. Over time, this has been linked to a higher risk of heart disease, stroke, and heart infections.
Gut health:
Oral bacteria are swallowed every day. When harmful bacteria dominate, they can disrupt the balance of the gut. Gum infections can also increase inflammation that affects gut health and weakens the body’s defenses.
Brain health:
Certain oral bacteria and ongoing inflammation have been found in studies to travel beyond the mouth. This may affect brain health over time and is being actively researched.
Looking after your teeth and gums is an important part of protecting your overall health.

Cavities can be contagious.

The bacteria that cause tooth decay can pass from parent to child through shared spoons, kisses, or cleaning pacifiers with your mouth.

Healthy habits at home help protect the whole family. Regular check-ups matter.
