From Amputation to Independence ❤️
Have you ever stopped to think about what happens to children born with congenital conditions who eventually undergo amputation?
Well, think no more. Meet Linda (not her real name). ❤️
Linda became a below-knee amputee at just 7 months old. At 1 year and 2 months, she walked into our office, and life has never been the same again.
We took her measurements and got to work fabricating her prosthetic leg. But because her little feet were still too small for a conventional prosthetic foot, we went a step further,we 3D printed a custom foot just for her. 🦿✨
That’s how 3D printing is changing lives ,making it possible to create solutions that are customized even for our tiniest patients.
After 72 hours, Linda came back for her fitting. And honestly? She wasn’t impressed at first. 😂
But look at her now! 🥹❤️
At just over 2 years old and approaching 3, Linda has fully adjusted to her prosthetic leg. In fact, she has reached the point where she doesn’t even want anyone touching it! 😂🙌
