A message from Dr Jeannette Booysen & Team

Braces and attachments placed on teeth form part of dental/orthodontic treatment and should only be performed by appropriately registered dental professionals.

❌ Please do not allow unqualified or unregistered individuals to place “fashion braces”, brackets, wires, attachments or other dental materials on your teeth.

Incorrectly placed braces or attachments can cause serious problems, including:

• Damage to teeth and enamel
• Tooth decay and gum disease
• Unwanted tooth movement
• Gum and bone damage
• Bite problems
• Loose teeth or even tooth loss
• Complicated and costly corrective treatment

🚫 OUR PRACTICE POLICY

Dr Jeannette Booysen & Team will not continue, adjust, repair or take over orthodontic treatment started elsewhere without the appropriate clinical information and a valid transfer/referral from the treating HPCSA-registered dental practitioner.

If braces or attachments have been placed by an unregistered or unqualified person, we will not simply “fix” or continue that work. The patient will first require a proper dental assessment, and unsafe appliances or attachments may need to be removed before appropriate treatment can be considered.

⚠️ Anything bonded, glued or attached to your teeth can affect your enamel, gums, bite and tooth movement.

Your teeth are permanent.
Please don’t risk them for a trend.

Min sal weet dat aan elkeen wat deur ons praktyk al glimlagte mooi gemaak het, is my peetpa, Alfie se hande. Wat hy vir my as kind gedoen het, my geleer het. Lewe ek nou nog.
Dit is met groot hartseer dat ons moet groet en die ongelooflike impak wat hy in so baie mense se lewens gehaad het stroom in saam die medelye.
Hy is die rede hoekom ek 'n tandarts wou word en ook later spesialiseer in draadjies. Sy voetspore in my lewe is diep en sal veraltyd daar wees.
As hy net geweet het dat elkeen van ons 20 000 gesinne op ons boeke, het ook 'n deeltjie van hom leer ken om deur ons deure te loop.

Dit is nooit totsiens nie, maar tot ons weer sien!
