When we launched our Prosthetic Upgrade Service in the Daily Dispatch HeraldLIVE - Nelson Mandela Bay newspaper last week.

Our target market were prosthetic users without medical aid insurance who solely relied on the limited public prosthetic healthcare.

As a result, we expected enquiries from people whose prostheses may be limited by the available technology, materials, component options and cosmetic appearance limitations associated with the public hospitals.

To our surprise, our first two enquiries have come from medically insured prosthetic users. Whose prostheses already incorporated appropriate, good-quality prosthetic technology and advanced materials. Despite this, they both remained dissatisfied with their walking abilities and enquired about a needed upgrade.
