Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease Awareness South Africa

Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease Awareness South Africa This page is to create awareness of the rare disease Charcot-Marie-Tooth in South Africa. We will also promote The walk/ride for CMT Awareness in Cape Town

Although CMT is a very common disease, it is unknown as a rare disease. It is a genetically inherited disease. Symptoms can start showing in your teenage-years, twenties and even in your thirties. I was born with the symptoms (which is unusual), but only diagnosed at the age of ten. My aim is to make people understand why CMT sufferers do simple tasks in different ways than normal people. We have

to adjust to our condition as it gets worse. To understand CMT, you have to be aware of it. To create awareness, CMT sufferers need YOU to share this page and to support our annual WALK/RIDE for CMT-Awareness that will take place in Cape Town. Date will be announced as soon as we are able to arrange it. PLEASE SUPPORT CMT!
