The answer is: sometimes.

If tooth decay is caught early, it may appear as a white spot lesion. At this stage, the enamel can often remineralize with good oral hygiene, fluoride, and healthy eating habits.

Once a cavity has formed (a hole in the tooth), it can’t heal on its own and will need treatment, such as a filling, to stop it from getting worse.

✨ The best way to avoid fillings? Prevention!
✔️ Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste
✔️ Floss daily
✔️ Limit sugary snacks and drinks
✔️ Visit your dentist for regular check-ups
