This was a special one at Deist and Associates 🙌

Chris Erasmus received his very first below-knee prosthetic fitted with us — and what a transformation it’s been.

We introduced a lightweight carbon laminated socket, suction suspension, and a Balance S foot to completely elevate his prosthetic experience. The difference? Night and day. More comfort, better control, improved confidence — and most importantly, a step toward a better quality of life.

Moments like these remind me why we do what we do. It’s deeply important to us that every amputee who walks through our doors leaves with something better than they came in with — not just a prosthetic leg, but renewed hope, independence, and happiness.

Behind the scenes in the workshop 👀

Here, we’re draping a test socket with ThermoLyn Clear from Otto Bock. The test socket helps us check socket fit, volume, and comfort before connecting it to the prosthetic components for dynamic alignment.

It’s one of the important steps that helps us fine-tune fit, movement, and comfort before the final socket is made.

This was one of those moments that remind us exactly why we do what we do ❤️

Meet Rose — an incredibly strong, determined, and inspiring woman. After losing her leg four and a half years ago, she never gave up. With sheer grit and courage, she continued moving forward, hopping on one leg with the support of a walking frame.

And now… everything changed.

We had the absolute privilege of fitting Rose with her very first below-knee prosthesis. Watching her take those first steps was nothing short of magical — a moment filled with emotion, courage, and triumph.

Rose, your strength and spirit inspire us all. You are proof that resilience has no limits.

Last June, Jacky De Sausa walked (well… bravely hobbled 😉) into my practice after making one of the toughest decisions of her life, amputation after a long, exhausting battle with pain.

It wasn’t the “instant fix” fairy-tale ending. The first few months? Tough. Real tough. Setbacks, frustration, volume changes, and those “why is this happening?” days that every amputee knows too well.

But here’s what I love about Jacky… she never quit.

From June last year, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. Volume loss meant adjustments. Adjustments meant new test sockets. Not one. Not two. Not three.

Six test sockets over seven months.
Yes… SIX! (At this point we could’ve started a socket fashion line 😄)

And today… what a moment!
We finally fitted her definitive socket with a RevoFit Boa Dial from Click Medical, giving her the power to adjust the tightness herself as her volume changes. Control back in her hands. Comfort. Confidence. Freedom.

Jacky, you are an absolute ROCKSTAR ⭐
Your resilience, your patience, your grit, it’s inspiring.

This journey wasn’t about perfection.
It was about persistence.

Stay positive, keep that fighting spirit…
