🍎 One of the reasons I don't like composite bonding is because of how it ages. They might look good when they're new, but after a few years they lose that lustre. Out with the old, and in with the new. This smile was refreshed using multilayered ceramic that, when looked after well, will look as good as the day it was placed for many, many years.👨🏼‍⚕️🍎

We managed to give the patient a bit more width in the smile and a much straighter occlusal/bite line (notice how the bottom teeth dip toward the back in the before photos). This patient had severely worn down teeth that needed to be built up all the way through🦷 All done in 2 appointments; made possible because all cases get planned before anything is done on the patient. 🍎The patient had a complete bite collapse which means the back teeth are not the correct height anymore (due to grinding, old crowns, broken teeth etc), which causes the front teeth to start taking on abnormal loads which they are not designed to do.

So we did a reconstruction to lift the height of the back teeth, open the bite and then restore the front teeth as well🦷🍎

🍎 Makeover done for functional and aesthetic purposes. Patient wanted her teeth to "look the same" and I wanted to correct the bite.

Notice how, when the teeth are lifted off each other in the last photo, the gap in between top and bottom teeth is narrower on the one side than the other. Not surprisingly the patient was experiencing discomfort in this area which is now gone since the bite is more balanced.👨🏼‍⚕️🦷

Nice natural, modern colour that will age exceptionally well with the patient.🍎
