🦷 INTRODUCING BEK-A-BUDDY — BECAUSE EVERYONE DESERVES A REASON TO SMILE❤️
For many people, getting the dental treatment they need isn’t simply a matter of making an appointment. The treatment may be necessary, but the cost can make it feel completely out of reach.
That’s where Bek-a-Buddy comes in.
Bek-a-Buddy is a newly launched dental treatment concept that connects people who are in need of dental care with dentists who are willing to help, while giving friends, family, businesses and members of the wider community the opportunity to contribute towards the cost of their treatment.
And the process is simple:
1️⃣ NOMINATE SOMEONE — OR YOURSELF
If you know someone who needs dental treatment but cannot afford it, you can nominate them through the Bek-a-Buddy platform. Patients can also nominate themselves.
2️⃣ HAVE A FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION
If a dentist is needed in the patient’s area, they can attend a free initial consultation with a participating dentist.
3️⃣ RECEIVE A TREATMENT PLAN & QUOTATION
The dentist will assess the patient and provide a normal treatment plan and quotation based on the dental care they require.
4️⃣ START THE FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
The quotation is uploaded to the Bek-a-Buddy platform, allowing a fundraising campaign to begin.
5️⃣ THE COMMUNITY GETS INVOLVED
Friends, family, businesses and members of the community can contribute towards the cost of the treatment.
6️⃣ WHEN THE FULL AMOUNT IS RAISED, TREATMENT CAN BEGIN
Once the full amount has been raised, the dentist is informed and the patient can begin their treatment.
At its heart, Bek-a-Buddy is about creating an opportunity for people to receive dental care that may otherwise have been financially out of reach. It’s about connecting people who need help with people who are willing to help.
We are incredibly excited to be part of an initiative that brings dentists, patients and communities together with one shared goal: helping people get the dental care they need and giving them a reason to smile again.
