Today marks the end of a very special chapter at our practice.

As we say goodbye to our wonderful colleague, Anchke, we want to express our sincere gratitude for your dedication, loyalty, hard work, and the genuine care you showed every patient and every member of our team. Your kindness, professionalism, and positive spirit have left a lasting impact, and you will be greatly missed.

While it's never easy to say goodbye, we are incredibly excited to see you spread your wings and begin this new adventure as a flight attendant. This is a wonderful opportunity, and we have no doubt that you will shine wherever your journey takes you.

As our country will be experiencing gatherings and demonstrations tomorrow, we encourage everyone to remember that, above all else, all lives matter!

With this in mind, and after consulting with law enforcement, we have taken the decision to close the practice tomorrow. The safety of our patients and staff is paramount.

Let us choose peace over conflict, compassion over hatred, and understanding over division. The actions being taken tomorrow, will shape the South Africa we leave for future generations.

Please stay safe, look after one another, and keep humanity at the heart of everything you do.

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who lead with strength, love, patience, and dedication.

Whether you're guiding your children through life's challenges, sharing words of wisdom, cheering from the sidelines, or simply being there when it matters most, your impact is immeasurable.

From all of us at our practice, we would like to thank you for the sacrifices you make, the values you instill, and the love you give so freely.

My daughter had a minor...a MINOR medical procedure done 13 days ago. As soon as she returned from theatre, my wife called and said "this is bad, this is real bad!". As only one parent was allowed, my wife and I "swapped" and I could feel the pain of my daughter shaking of the pain. I am upset, I am very upset! Something simple and minor, has now landed her in hospital with convulsions. Convulsions caused by the pain! Something MINOR has changed into something extremely dangerous. (5 years ago we had the same experience with my son. Different Dr, but same result) I can discuss this all day, but I need to say this to my fellow colleagues:

Medicine is more than a profession—it is a calling! Each and every patient deserves to be treated with compassion, dignity, and genuine concern for their well-being. Financial considerations should NEVER outweigh the responsibility to provide safe, ethical, and patient-centered care. Patients will always remember how they were treated, especially during their most vulnerable moments. Stop the rush of money, and start caring for your patients - with genuine care...after all, they chose you!

Thank you Lord for being with her, for protecting her 🙏 Lord, I also pray...If financial gain becomes more important to me than caring and treating our patients with the dignity they deserve, then please shut the doors of my practice permanently!

Dear Patients 🦷💙

In celebration of 🇿🇦, our team has decided to take full advantage of the holiday... mainly because we still proudly consider ourselves as...as...as...young, energetic and youthful!! 😄

Our practice will close on Friday, 12 June 2026, at 14:00 and will reopen on Wednesday, 17 June 2026.

While we're away enjoying our "youthful" long weekend, we encourage everyone to take care of their smiles, brush twice a day, floss regularly, and try not to test the durability of your teeth on any extra-hard long-weekend treats!

Who needs a dentist when you have an Arty-Mom? Oh boy!! 😂😂 And Big-Sis got to be part of the fun 🦷😂🦷😂

PS: Our son enjoyed the fun idea - no pain or damage was caused.
