A few things your orthodontic team wishes every patient knew 👀

- Bleeding gums shouldn’t be ignored.
- Plaque leaves clues.
Small problems are usually easier to manage when they’re checked early, and keeping up with your regular appointments really does matter.

Great orthodontic results are a team effort between you and your orthodontic team. The little things you do between appointments can make a big difference to your treatment journey. 🦷✨

Early orthodontic assessment helps us understand how your child’s teeth and jaws are developing while they’re still growing.

And here’s something parents should know: an early assessment doesn’t always mean braces or immediate treatment! 💙

Sometimes, the best approach is simply to monitor growth, identify potential concerns early and determine the ideal time to begin treatment, if needed.
Because when it comes to growing smiles, timing matters! 😊

📅 Give your child’s smile a healthy head start. Book an orthodontic assessment with Drs Ngema & Dubula Orthodontists today.

Tooth sensitivity can occur for different reasons, including during orthodontic treatment. A soft-bristled toothbrush, gentle technique and a toothpaste formulated for sensitivity may help.

If sensitivity is severe, persistent, worsening, or accompanied by swelling, significant pain or a damaged appliance, please contact your orthodontist for assessment.
