🦒🦷 ANIMAL FACT #3 — Did you know giraffes have 32 teeth?

Such a tall animal, yet the same number of teeth as a full adult human set! Most of a giraffe’s teeth sit at the back of its mouth, helping it grind the leaves it eats. 🌿🦒

Who knew we had something dental in common with these gentle giants? 🤯

These ocean predators have teeth arranged in multiple rows. As teeth fall out, replacements move forward to take their place! 🤯

Imagine never running out of spare teeth! Our adult teeth don’t have that luxury, so looking after your smile matters. 💚

Their teeth are found on a tongue-like structure called a radula and are continually worn down and replaced.

Who knew something so small could have such an impressive dental system? 🌿🐌

Even astronauts have to brush their teeth!

We’re celebrating World Space Week, 4–10 October, with a look at dental care in space. Imagine brushing with floating water droplets and no sink to spit into!

Your toothbrush stays firmly on Earth, but your smile deserves the same care.

Healthy smiles, on Earth and beyond.
