A new chapter. A rejuvenated smile. ✨

With retirement beginning, this patient was ready for a fresh start—including his smile.

Years of wear had left his old fillings breaking down and stained. Using full zirconia crowns on his upper teeth, we restored their strength and shape while creating a brighter, natural-looking smile.

Ready for the next chapter—and plenty of reasons to smile.

A new tooth. Still YOUR smile. 🦷✨

We’ve previously shown you how we replace a missing tooth with an implant. Here’s another option: a dental bridge, fixed in place.

Not every smile needs a complete makeover. Sometimes, the skill is in making the new blend beautifully with what’s already there.

Using digital scans and precise design, we custom-designed this bridge to complement the shade, shape and character of the patient’s existing teeth.

Designed around the patient. Made to belong in their smile.

We’re trying something a little different at Ahlers Dental 🦷

You usually see the before and after—but what happens in between?

This time, we’re taking you through one patient’s implant journey, from a broken front tooth after a slip on a ladder to his final zirconia crown.

Swipe through to follow each stage:
▪️ The initial injury
▪️ Removal of the broken tooth and implant placement on the same day
▪️ A removable retainer with a temporary tooth to wear during healing
▪️ A digital scan after around three months
▪️ The final implant crown and restored smile

If you’ve ever wondered, “What happens if I break my tooth and need an implant?” this gives you a closer look at the appointments, healing time and work behind the final result.

Every treatment plan is individual—this is how we approached this patient’s case.

A balanced bite. A refreshed smile. ✨💫

Zirconia crowns were used to increase bite height and improve how the teeth meet, while enhancing the shape and proportions of the smile. 😁⭐🦷

Refreshed, not replaced. 🦷✨

Our patient wanted to replace old, discoloured restorations and worn, darkened teeth with something that looked natural and felt like hers again.
We planned the case digitally from the start, designing tooth shape, length and shade around her face, lips and smile line before a single tooth was prepared. The result: zirconia crowns, shaped to suit her features rather than a one-size-fits-all "Hollywood" white.

Just four teeth. One incredible difference. ✨😁

By carefully transforming only the four upper front teeth, we were able to improve the balance, symmetry and harmony of the entire smile.

A beautiful reminder that you don’t always need to treat every tooth to achieve a big change—sometimes thoughtful planning and attention to detail are all it takes. 💫🦷

Same-Day Dentistry in Action

A fantastic example of how digital dentistry is transforming the patient experience.

Dr Ahlers in East London recently restored a patient’s broken tooth with a same-day 3D printed crown, produced in-practice using the SprintRay Pro 2.

From digital workflow to a completed restoration, the patient was able to receive their new crown in a single visit — eliminating conventional impressions, a temporary crown, and the need to return weeks later.

And the best part? The patient’s experience speaks for itself:

“One visit. No gooey moulds, no temporary tooth, no going back for weeks… and it looks so real I can’t even tell which tooth it is.” 🙌

Congratulations to Dr Ahlers and the team at Ahlers Dental for embracing digital technology to deliver an efficient, modern and patient-focused dental experience.

The SprintRay Pro 2 is helping bring chairside 3D printing into everyday dentistry — turning digital workflows into real benefits for both practices and their patients.

Digital dentistry. Same-day possibilities. Exceptional patient experiences.
