Introducing Dr Karen Huang

We are pleased to welcome Dr Karen Huang to the Cavendish Dental Claremont team.

Dr Huang is a compassionate, detail-oriented general dentist with a special interest in Endodontics, the area of dentistry focused on saving and preserving natural teeth through root canal treatment and related care.

After completing her BChD qualification at the University of Pretoria, Dr Huang went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontics, further developing her skills in root canal therapy, biomimetic principles and restorative dentistry.

Her clinical philosophy is centred on preservation, minimally invasive care and clear communication. She believes in helping patients understand their treatment options while making the dental experience feel calm, considered and reassuring.

With her gentle manner and precise approach, Dr Huang is a wonderful addition to our clinical team and our continued focus on modern, patient-centred dentistry.

In case you missed it!

Dr Reon Janse van Rensburg joined our clinical team as an associatein 2024. He is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Minor Oral Surgery, reflecting his commitment to continual learning and evidence-based care.
Dr Reon has a conservative and gentle approach to dentistry, with a strong focus on preventative and restorative care, as well as oral surgery. He has a particular interest in working with nervous and anxious patients, taking time to explain procedures clearly and ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable, and at ease throughout their treatment.
His clinical interests include preventative dentistry, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and implantology. He is a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and plans to continue advancing his skills in implant dentistry as part of his ongoing professional development.
Born and raised in Cape Town, Dr Reon values community and connection. Outside the practice, he has a strong appreciation for animals and nature, and enjoys reading. Known for his inquisitive mindset and problem-solving approach, he values working closely with people and building long-term, trusting relationships with his patients.
