Here are simple ways to make your dental routine more eco-conscious:

• Switch to a bamboo or recyclable toothbrush.
• Turn off the tap while brushing (it can save litres of water a day)
• Choose toothpaste in recyclable or low-plastic packaging where possible.
• Replace toothbrushes only when needed - not too early, not too late.
• Dispose of dental products responsibly (avoid flushing or littering plastics.)

Being mindful doesn’t mean changing everything overnight; it means consistently making better choices where you can.

If you’ve ever taken a sip of something warm on a cold morning and felt a sharp twinge in your teeth, you’re not imagining it. Cold weather can make tooth sensitivity more noticeable for a few simple reasons:

In winter, the cold air causes the tiny muscles and tissues around your teeth and gums to contract slightly. People also often breathe through their mouths more in cold or dry weather, which exposes teeth directly to cold air for longer periods - triggering that sudden “zing” sensation.

It can also feel worse if you already have: Thin or worn enamel. Gum recession. Small cracks or untreated sensitivity.
The good news? It’s common, and it’s manageable.

We often see sensitivity increase during colder months, and in many cases, early care can make a big difference before it becomes uncomfortable.
