This little forceps was handed down to me by a retiring MFOS I used to assist in theater who had, in turn, received it from an ENT changing rooms. I'm not sure what either of them used it for; but "the crocodile" made good for this little broken-off piece of post; stuck inside the canal.

This was yet another emergency treatment that presented at an inopportune time - the patient drove in from Hermanus (2 hours from Cape Town) while on holiday visiting from England.
