POV: Your dentist chooses the perfect time to ask you a question… while both hands are in your mouth. 😂

“Mhmm… and how have you been feeling?”
Sir, I physically cannot answer you right now.

Is it time to say goodbye to your toothbrush?

Your toothbrush doesn’t last forever. If the bristles are frayed, flattened or worn down, it’s time for a fresh one.

As a general rule, dentists recommend replacing your toothbrush every 3–4 months — or sooner if the bristles become damaged.

A fresh toothbrush = better cleaning and healthier teeth.
When was the last time you replaced yours? 👀

Why do your teeth shift more as you get older? 🦷

Your teeth aren’t necessarily “supposed” to stay exactly where they were in your 20s. Over time, changes in the jawbone, gums and bite can cause teeth to gradually move.

Factors such as:
• Natural changes in bone and gum tissue
• Tooth loss or missing teeth
• Gum disease
• Teeth grinding or clenching
• Changes in your bite
• Not wearing your retainer after orthodontic treatment
can all contribute to shifting, crowding or new spaces between your teeth.

The good news? Regular dental check-ups can help identify these changes early and protect your smile for years to come.

Your smile changes with you. Keep an eye on it.

Whitening can brighten your smile, but sometimes the colour isn’t the only thing holding it back.

Chips, spacing, uneven edges, old restorations or the natural shape of your teeth may need a little more than whitening to create a balanced, polished smile.

The good news? There are cosmetic options designed to improve shape, proportion and symmetry while keeping your smile looking natural.

Ready to find out what your smile could benefit from? Book a consultation with Bedford Dental.

Is an expensive toothbrush really necessary? 👀

From high-tech features to sleek designs, electric toothbrushes can be impressive, but you don’t need the latest gadget for a healthy smile.
A good brushing technique, fluoride toothpaste and brushing twice a day are far more important than how expensive your toothbrush is.

It’s not about the price tag. It’s about how well you use it.

What makes a smile look expensive?

It’s not about having the whitest or most perfect teeth. It’s about balance, proportion and natural detail.

From a healthy gum line to natural whiteness, even edges and subtle character, the little details can make all the difference.
Because the most beautiful smile is one that looks effortless, healthy and uniquely yours.
