🦷 Why Are Baby Teeth So Important — and Why Theatre Might Be Needed
Baby teeth (milk teeth) may be temporary, but they play a big role in your child’s overall health and development:
✨ Help with chewing and proper speech
✨ Hold space for the permanent teeth to grow in correctly
✨ Support jaw and facial development
✨ Prevent pain, infections, and issues with adult teeth
Sometimes, despite our best efforts, children may develop multiple cavities — especially in baby teeth. When this happens, and a child is too young or anxious to sit through several treatments in the chair, theatre becomes a safe and effective solution.
👶 Why Theatre Might Be Recommended:
🌟If there are multiple cavities in different parts of the mouth
🌟If the child becomes too distressed in the chair
🌟To complete all treatment safely and thoroughly in one session
🌟To prevent trauma or fear associated with dental visits
🌟To give the child a positive experience with no pain or pressure
In theatre, we use a trusted specialist anaesthetist, and we’re able to restore the teeth in a calm, controlled setting — giving your child the best possible care without stress.
