WHY TO TAKE TARTAR?
Tartar is not a worrying problem, however, if tartar is subjectively allowed to form and persist for a long time, it can cause many of the following problems:
💢 Tooth decay
Tartar contains bacteria that produce acids, which erode tooth enamel and lead to tooth decay.
If left untreated, tooth decay can spread, cause pain and require more complex treatment such as fillings or root canal treatment.
💢 Bad breath (Halitosis)
Tartar contains bacteria, and these bacteria produce compounds that have an unpleasant odor, causing bad breath.
Bad breath can affect confidence and daily communication.
💢 Teeth are yellow
Tartar is yellow or brown, losing the natural whiteness of teeth. This affects your aesthetics and smile.
💢 Gingivitis
Tartar causes irritation and inflammation of the gums, leading to swollen, red and bleeding gums, especially when brushing or flossing.
💢 Periodontitis (Periodontitis)
A more serious stage of gingivitis, periodontitis causes damage to the tissue that supports the teeth and jawbone.
💢 Tooth loss
If periodontitis is not treated, it can cause serious damage to the bones and tissues that support the teeth, leading to tooth loss - greatly affecting the ability to chew food and aesthetics.
💢 Affects whole body health
Many studies have shown a link between gum disease and systemic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and respiratory problems.
❤️ Beauty Dental recommends that you have your teeth checked and cleaned at least every 6 months to ensure your teeth are always in the best condition.
