An implant treatment involves more than just the implant fixture. You should understand what implant system, abutment, crown, restoration materials, and dental laboratory are being used — and whether the information can be verified and kept in your dental records.

4. What does the total treatment cost actually include?
Instead of asking only, “How much is one dental implant?”, ask what is included in the complete treatment plan. This may include the implant, abutment, crown, scans, surgery, medication, follow-up, bone grafting, sinus lift, temporary restoration, and other necessary procedures.

5. Who will follow up with me after treatment?
Dental implant treatment does not simply end after surgery. Follow-up, maintenance, monitoring, and access to your dental records can be especially important if you live overseas or travel to another country for treatment.
