Help us welcome our newest addition to the ZFD family, Dr. Jake Young!
Dr. Jacob Young’s passion for dentistry began at a young age after experiencing firsthand the impact that improving a smile can have on a person’s confidence and overall well-being. After undergoing orthodontic treatment himself, Dr. Young realized the life-changing effect compassionate dental care can provide and knew he wanted a career dedicated to helping others feel confident, healthy, and comfortable with their smiles.
Originally from Springfield, Missouri, Dr. Young graduated summa cm laude from the University of Missouri with a degree in Biological Sciences before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. During dental school, he gained extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry and completed advanced training through the Oral Surgery Honors Program. He remains committed to continuing education and regularly pursues advanced training to stay at the forefront of modern dentistry and technology.
Dr. Young enjoys all areas of general dentistry, with special interests in cosmetic, family, implant dentistry, and Invisalign treatment. He is especially passionate about helping patients who experience dental anxiety and strives to create a welcoming, comfortable environment where patients feel heard and cared for. His philosophy centers on providing conservative, comprehensive, and personalized treatment while building lasting relationships with his patients.
Known for his meticulous attention to detail and patient-first approach, Dr. Young takes pride in helping patients achieve healthy, natural-looking smiles that improve both confidence and quality of life. He has been recognized as a Top Dentist by Washingtonian Magazine in 2025 and 2026 and by Virginia Living in 2025. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Washington Dental Society.
Outside the office, Dr. Young enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, friends, and their dog, Sarge. His hobbies include hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, playing guitar, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. Dr. Young looks forward to meeting new patients, building long-lasting relationships, and helping each patient achieve a healthy smile they can feel confident sharing for years to come
