Congratulations to Dr Lauren Yap and Dr Craig McKenzie. PDA’s two rising stars were honored this past weekend as receipients of the ADA’s 10 Under 10 Recognition. Lauren and Craig were selected along with eight other dentists from across the country who graduated from dental school 10 years ago or less and have contributed significantly to our profession. Only 10 selected from across the country and two from PA! PDA continues to develop leaders who make a difference!

The ADA’s Give Veterans Smile kick off event at New Orleans’ World War II museum was a huge success. PDA was recognized publicly for our $25,000 contribution. PDA President-elect Ted Rockwell and I were proud to wear our military uniforms as we are pictured with PDA President Cary Limberakis and PDA ED Ward Blackwell.

Attended the PA Senate Campaign Committee Summer Hoopla in Mechanicsburg on June 10. Our PDA longtime and hardworking lobbyist Peg Callahan-Keskin and myself are flanking Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill. Senator Hill is a member of the Senate Banking & Insurance Committee. We discussed PDA proposed legislation regarding credit cards, Dental Loss Ratio as well as Credentialing.
