Catherine’s Health Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center providing primary medical, dental, behavioral health, and health support services. Headquartered in northeast Grand Rapids, Catherine’s Health Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center. We provide access to high quality, affordable, and compassionate health care for the underserved throughout West Michigan. Alphonsus church in the Creston neighborhood. While not directly affiliated with one religious group and no longer a volunteer-run clinic in a basement, we continue to work from the heart of our mission to provide exceptional health care for those who are most vulnerable in our community. Today, Catherine’s provides 6,500 comprehensive primary medical, behavioral health, dental, and health promotion/disease prevention services annually. Our namesake, Catherine McAuley, lived in the late 1700s and established the Sisters of Mercy. She dedicated her life to serving the poor, and we are inspired by her example of selflessness and solidarity. We serve the community through the generosity of those who share our belief that no one should have to choose between life's necessities and basic medical care.

The courtyard garden at Harrison Park Academy has been a special collaborative project between Catherine's school staff, scholars, and local community members. We got to share it with our neighbors this past week and, despite the rain, we are so proud of the space and the opportunities it will provide for years to come!

A couple of weeks ago, members of Catherine's leadership team visited the Creative Learning Center at the Grand Rapids Art Museum to discuss creativity and wonder, and how important both are for leadership and community health. In the colorful exhibit room of Karel Appel, the team was also treated to a sound bath by Susanne Werblow, experiencing relaxation and a heightened sense of awareness.

This was a great experience that led to robust conversations, and we are grateful to the GRAM for inviting Catherine's! We are incredibly thankful for these partnerships and the reminder that health happens outside of the exam room.

At our 30th Anniversary Celebration, we premiered our mini-documentary, Breaking Barriers: Catherine's Healthcare for the Homeless.

Now, join us on November 11th at Wealthy Theatre for a special viewing of the documentary, followed by a panel of housing and healthcare experts as we discuss challenges, triumphs, and collaboration in caring for individuals with complex needs.

Show starts at 6:00 p.m. Doors at 5:00.
