First day of school for the Solt kids! Backpacks on, uniforms pressed, and one brand new little sister along for the photo.

Emilia, Anastasia, and Tommy are heading back with a full house behind them. Dr. Solt and Amanda have their hands (and their hearts) very full right now, and we would not have it any other way. 💙

Wishing all of our patients and their kids a great first day. Here's to a fun year ahead.

The Solt family just got a little bigger. Dr. Solt and Amanda welcomed their fourth child, Genevieve Rose, on August 19th. Everyone is happy, healthy, and settling in at home.

Four kids, one very full house, and a whole lot of love. Our team could not be more excited for them.

Guess who volunteered to be the patient today.

Our assistants spent the morning training on dental photography, and Dr. Solt took the chair. Cheek retractors, mirrors, the whole setup.

Clinical photos are a bigger deal than most people realize. When we can show you exactly what we're seeing, a cracked filling or early wear on a tooth stops being something you have to take our word for. You see it on the screen right alongside us, and the conversation about what to do next gets a lot easier.

Getting a good shot takes practice though. Angles, lighting, keeping everything in focus while your patient is trying not to laugh. That's what today was for.

Not many bosses will lie back and let the team practice on them. Dr. Solt held that pose longer than anyone expected.

Took the family to the Rocket Mortgage Classic on Sunday. Beautiful day for it.

Tommy and I got this photo together, and if you look just behind us, that's Keegan Bradley making his way through. Tommy was pretty thrilled about that.

Always fun getting out to watch great golf with the people I love most.

Our summer office party went down last Thursday at Dr. Solt's house, and the competition got serious fast.

Co****le toss. The leaky bucket challenge. Pool noodle races. Bragging rights were on the line, and the winning team took home the most prestigious award in dentistry: the Golden Spittoon.

We finished the night with our own personal hibachi chef, which felt like a fitting reward for everyone who survived the pool noodle heats.

Meet Dr. Kevin Solt.

He finished a six year combined BS/DDS program at the University of Detroit Mercy and graduated at 23 (very young), then completed a general practice residency at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland. These days he's continuing his training through the Pankey Institute, where the entire focus is treating the person and not just the tooth.

Ask him about golf and you'll get a longer answer than you expected. 🏌️

What he'll tell you about dentistry: the best treatment plan is the one you actually understand.
