This is one of my favorite cases that we have been working on.

Michael came to us with concerns over a recent sleep apnea diagnosis. We discussed options including CPAP, Oral Appliance Therapy and referral to ENT for surgical evaluation. But, we also noticed severely constricted arches, low tongue posture, limited nasal cavity volume and forward head posture.

We discussed options for adult expansion including and treatment to help upright the lower arch and eventually align the maxillary dentition. With the help of Dr. Borasz we jumped in to MARPE treatment to expand the arches, increase the nasal cavity volume, provide proper tongue space and even increase the airway volume.

In the end, we:
✅Doubled the IMW (17mm to 34mm)
✅Helped to reduce AHI from 13.1/hr to 1.9/hr
✅ Created a broad, beautiful smile
✅Improved airway volume
✅Improved nasal breathing

Georgina came to us after a referral from her . Mom was concerned about snoring, mouth breathing, tossing and turning at night and continued issues with pronunciation. Additionally, she was working with OT for posture concerns and a weak core.

We noted:
✅Narrow maxilla
✅Posterior crossbite
✅Anterior open bite
✅Venous Pooling
✅Midline shift

We felt that this was a great case for expansion in the primary dentition and with parents and patient on board, we jumped right in.
Georgina did incredibly well with her expanders and just 9 months later is reaping the benefits of these changes. Mom was thrilled with the reports from her recent parent-teacher conference and reports significant improvements in her sleep, breathing and speech. We are thrilled with the structural changes - crossbite correction, open bite correction (without braces) and improved posture.

These are the cases we love to treat early and the results we love to see with them.

This patient came to us for concerns with her sleep and breathing as well as her family history of an underbite.

We started with expansion and reverse pull head gear to advance her maxilla. Finished off by consolidating some spaces and creating room for the canines with some phase 1 braces.

She is primed and ready for the next phase of tooth eruption. Bonus- better profile, bigger airway, better sleep and breathing!

A very special for me!

When the bonding on my laterals chipped a few years ago, I decided it was time to open spaces to create the correct sizing for these teeth and also help with tongue space and sleep.

Through this journey, I have completed my case, endured , and had the insanely talented Dr. Holzhauer (Dr. Liz) finish this case to perfection with some fresh . I could not be more excited about my smile! As an added bonus, I have noticed more restful sleep and more dreaming.

We love creating these smiles and we love having such awesome colleagues to help us finish these cases to perfection!

Transformation Tuesday!

This is an awesome case for a very deserving patient.

Iris started with us with and concerns. Throughout her treatment we corrected her spacing but noticed that her laterals were very small, the were very bulky and her lower left molar was stuck in the bone and not coming into the bite.

For the laterals we created proper spacing and addressed the size with some no prep composite to balance the smile.
For the gum tissue, we recontoured the architecture using our laser for a no pain solution.
For the lower left molar, we were able to create the spacing for a minimal prep crown to hold the proper bite and finish up the beautiful .

We are thrilled with the outcome and we hope to see her her way through life!

Here is another beautiful . This patient has been a long time general dental patient of our practice. At a recall appointment we asked if she had ever considered orthodontic treatment to help create the beautiful smile she deserves.

Transformation Tuesday!

Look at the changes we can accomplish with alone.

Pedro came to us self-conscious of his lower crowding and his self proclaimed . This incredible change only took 15 months of treatment and 1 refinement. In that time we created a wider, healthier smile with a better, more balanced bite. Most importantly for Pedro, we fixed that pesky snaggle tooth.
