Retirement Day is Here! 🎉
After 40 incredible years of service, I’m down to my last few hours—and my heart is full of gratitude.

To my wonderful and supportive staff: thank you for your hard work, loyalty, and dedication through the years. You’ve truly been the backbone of this journey.

To my amazing patients: thank you for trusting me with your smiles. Serving this community’s dental needs for the past 21,024,000 minutes has been my greatest honor and privilege.

To My Family of Patients:

As I celebrate my 40th year of dentistry, I want to extend my deepest thanks for the privilege of being your dentist. Your trust and confidence in me and my staff over the years have been both professionally rewarding and personally humbling. The relationships I’ve built with so many of you, have been a cherished part of my life, and I will always be grateful for them.
After much reflection, I have decided that the time has come to pass the torch and transition to what is next in my family life. Therefore, am writing to let you know that I am retiring from active practice. My last day will be August 27, 2025.
It has been an honor, a pleasure and a true privilege to provide dental care to you for the past 40 years.
One of my biggest concerns in retiring has been ensuring that you continue to receive competent and excellent dental care. I am confident you will be in capable and compassionate hands with Dr. Joseph Pierro.
Dr. Pierro was born and raised in Steubenville, Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University, graduating magna cm laude in 2016. He attended and graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2021. While in Dental School, he was awarded the Health Professions Scholarship through the United States Army, where he went on to serve three years of active duty as a Captain and General Dentist at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Pierro joined my practice in April of 2024.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart, for your loyalty and support throughout these many years. I wish you all the very best - in life and in dental health - for the years to come.
Most sincerely,

Thomas Matanzo, DDS
