🍁🍂🦷 Fall Dental Care Tips 🦷🍂🍁

As the weather gets cooler, a few simple habits can help keep your teeth healthy.

🍬 🍭🍫 Enjoy Fall Treats Wisely
~ Limit sticky candies like caramels, taffy, and gummy candies, which can cling to your teeth and increase the risk of cavities. Choose chocolate or treats that dissolve quickly instead.
~ After enjoying c***r, hot chocolate, or pumpkin-spiced lattes, drink water to help rinse away sugar and acid.
~ Wait about 30 minutes to brush after eating or drinking acidic foods and beverages to protect your enamel.

💧 🚰 Stay Hydrated and Protect Sensitive Teeth
~ Cooler weather and indoor heating can dry out your mouth. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to help prevent cavities.
~ If your teeth are sensitive to cold, try a toothpaste made for sensitive teeth. Fluoride toothpaste can also help strengthen enamel.

🪥 🦷 Keep Up Your Dental Routine
~ Replace your toothbrush or electric brush head if the bristles are frayed. A good rule of thumb is to replace it every three to four months.
~ Schedule your routine dental cleaning before the holiday season gets busy.

A little extra care this fall can help keep your smile healthy all season long!

Today we are turning the spotlight on someone who brings the sunshine to Winterset Dental every single day... our amazing dental assistant, Mattilynn!

If you have ever been in a chair at Winterset Dental, you already know. Mattilynn has a gift for making people feel at ease, whether it is cracking a joke at just the right moment or simply being the warm, cheerful presence that reminds you everything is going to be just fine.

She is caring, she is funny, and she somehow manages to make a dental appointment actually fun.

We are beyond grateful to have her as part of our team. She does not just assist with dental care, she brings heart and laughter to everything she does, and our patients and our whole team are better for it.
🎂🎂🎂🎂
Mattilynn, we hope your birthday is as bright and joyful as you make every single day here. You deserve all of it. Happy Birthday!

🎂 Today we are celebrating one of the most important people behind the scenes at Winterset Dental... our incredible financial coordinator, Heather!

Heather is the one who keeps everything organized, makes sure all the numbers add up, and does it all with a level of care and patience that honestly impresses us every single day.

She goes above and beyond to make sure our patients feel taken care of, not just in the chair but through every step of the process.

We are so lucky to have someone as thoughtful and dedicated as Heather on our team. The office simply would not run the same without her.

Heather, we hope your birthday is as wonderful as you make every day here feel. Thank you for everything you do. Happy Birthday! 🎂

If Winterset Dental had a secret weapon, it would be Katie.

From the moment you walk through our door, she greets you with a smile that makes you forget you're at the dentist. She keeps our schedules running, our patients happy, and somehow manages to make the whole office feel like home.

Is she organized? Absolutely. Is she fun? Without a doubt. Is she the reason half our patients actually look forward to their appointments? We're pretty sure yes.

We honestly don't know what we'd do without her, and we're so lucky we don't have to find out.

Thank you, Katie, for being the heartbeat of our front desk and for bringing so much joy to our team every single day.

We are beyond grateful you're ours.
