Managing medically complex patients is a challenge every dentist faces, yet clinical nuances frequently complicate standard Antibiotic Prophylaxis prescription protocols. I believe effective management of medically complex patient relies heavily on two pillars: robust team training and patient inclusiveness. While dentist stay accountable for the prescriptions, team training is extremely important as the medical history intake happens at multiple levels.
