To My Dear Friends and Patients,
I hope this letter finds you well. It is hard to believe that I have been practicing dentistry for 30 years. It seems like just yesterday that I was a young graduate from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. I spent 17 wonderful years practicing in Plantation, Florida, and the past 13 great years serving the Winter Haven community. It has truly been an honor and a privilege to care for you and your families over the years. I am deeply grateful not only for the trust you placed in me as your dentist, but also for the friendships and support I have received from you throughout my career. After much thought and reflection, I have decided to retire from the practice of dentistry effective June 22nd, 2026. I wanted to step away from a profession I love while I am still practicing at a high level and able to fully enjoy the next chapter of life. Although I will greatly miss dentistry and the relationships we have built together, I look forward to spending more time pursuing my hobbies, traveling, and seeing the world while I physically can.
Dentistry has changed tremendously over the past three decades. While many of my colleagues and classmates have transitioned to corporate dentistry, it has always been important to me to preserve the integrity, personal relationships, and compassionate care that define this profession and our practice family. My retirement allows me to select someone who will continue this practice with the same high regard for patient care. I am very pleased to introduce Dr.Yeritza Jaquez, who will be taking over my practice. I was introduced to Dr. Jaquez through my longtime mentee and dear friend, Dr. Karla Soto, a world-renowned lecturer in Digital Smile Design. Dr. Jaquez is an experienced dentist who has most recently been practicing in South Florida. She has had advanced dental (AEGD) training at Columbia University and a Masters degree in Prosthodontics. She brings with her the most current knowledge in dental technology. She is compassionate, personable, energetic, and highly skilled, and I am confident she will continue the tradition of excellence and exceptional care that you have come to expect from our office. Most importantly, she will be supported by the same caring and dedicated team members you have known and trusted over the years. I sincerely hope you will welcome her with the same kindness and support that you have always shown me. I will remain in the office through September to help ensure a smooth transition, and I hope to have the opportunity to personally say goodbye and thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives.
