This past week, Angela, Executive Director of Sean’s House in Newark had the pleasure of training Wahl Family Dental staff.

For those unfamiliar, Sean's House is a peer support and mental health resource center dedicated to creating connection, support, and hope for young adults navigating mental health struggles. Their work matters deeply, because the truth is… people are carrying things we often cannot see.

The dental field can be stressful. Patients walk through the door carrying anxiety, fear, trauma, grief, stress, and sometimes struggles nobody knows about. Team members do too. That is why creating safe spaces matters so much.

At Freedom Dental Health, our commitment to mental health and emotional wellness is ongoing. We want our employees to know it is okay not to be okay. We want our patients to feel seen, safe, respected, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

Thank you to Angela for taking the time to train these 14 staff members and helping continue these important conversations. And thank you to Gerson for being our unofficial photographer of the day and capturing the moments along the way. 💚

🌼 Delaware pollen season is definitely doing what it does best right now. Sneezing. Congestion. Dry mouth. Sinus pressure. Watery eyes. The whole spring starter pack. 🤧

But did you know seasonal allergies can also affect your oral health?
