Traffic Heads-Up for Today (Monday, 1/5) 🚨

We want to give our patients a heads-up that there may be significant traffic delays and temporary road closures in our area today due to police processions related to services honoring a fallen Delaware State Trooper.

Please allow extra travel time for your appointment and don’t hesitate to call our office if you’re running late, we completely understand.

TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - Monday, January 5, 2026

The Delaware Department of Transportation advises motorists to expect significant delays on numerous roads on Monday, January 5, 2026, as the funeral for Delaware State Police Corporal Grade One Matthew T. "Ty" Snook takes place at the University of Delaware Bob Carpenter Center in Newark.

Temporary road closures will occur during the funeral procession for Cpl/1 Snook and attendees traveling to the funeral, including I-95 south between the Route 1 interchange and Route 896 interchange.

Roads around the Bob Carpenter Center should be avoided between 6:00AM and 3:00PM if possible. DelDOT will be providing traffic control at intersections and temporarily closing roads as funeral-related activities are taking place.

The Department thanks the public in advance for their understanding and patience as Delaware honors the fallen Trooper.

After 37 years in dental hygiene, we are celebrating and wishing a very happy retirement to Lauri 💐

Lauri has been part of our practice for decades, and her time here leaves a lasting mark. She built meaningful relationships with her patients, many of whom looked forward to seeing her familiar face visit after visit. Her calm presence, consistency, and genuine care made her someone patients trusted and truly enjoyed being with.

Over the years, Lauri was also an important part of our office culture. She shared laughs with coworkers, joined in on office parties and gatherings, and helped shape the environment that made this office feel like more than just a place to work, especially in the earlier years as the practice was growing.

Thirty-seven years is a remarkable commitment, and we are incredibly grateful for the care, dedication, and time Lauri gave to our patients and our team. She will be missed, and her contributions will always be part of the foundation of this practice.

Congratulations on your retirement, Lauri. Thank you for everything you’ve given here, and we wish you all the best in this next chapter ❤️

After an incredible 43 years of dedicated service, today we celebrate and honor Barbara Spencer as she retires from Smile Solutions by Emmi Dental Associates.

Barb has been more than just a team member, she’s been a steady presence, a wealth of knowledge, and someone who always made our office feel like home. Her unwavering commitment to our patients, her kindness to every coworker, and her joyful spirit at every holiday party, family gathering, and Seacrets adventure have left a permanent mark on all of us.

It’s hard to put into words what she means to this team, but we know her next chapter will be filled with well-earned relaxation and new memories with her husband, children and grandchildren.
