*UPDATE FOR REOPENING*
Dear Patients of Caparelli and Mellis, DDS,
With our reopening date of June 1st, we are currently in the process of rescheduling patients. You may have already received a phone call from us; if not, you are welcome to call or email our office for available appointments. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. Due to the number of patients we care for, you may be offered fewer options for available appointment times. We really appreciate everyone’s patience as we try our best to get everyone back on track with routine care and needed treatment. Please be advised that depending on your appointment times for routine dental cleanings, you may be offered the option to see a different hygienist or dentist than you normally see. Also, cleanings may be a little longer so we can follow all needed guidelines set by the ADA, CDC and OSHA for recommended infection control. We appreciate your cooperation as we do our best to accommodate everyone. Please keep in mind that these changes in our schedule are only temporary as we transition to our new “normal”.
There are a few new changes we’d like for you to be aware of when you make an appointment so you feel as comfortable as possible when you are here.
For example:
*Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
*You will receive an electronic health screening questionnaire along with other required forms that will be sent out prior to your appointment. These must be completed in order to treat you.
*We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter our office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
*When you arrive for your appointment, please stay in your car and call our office upon arrival. We will give you further instructions at that time.
*There will be a $20 protective equipment fee that we are collecting from all patients when they arrive. This is a fee set forth by the American Dental Association so dental offices are able to afford the required protective gear and equipment needed to protect patients and staff during treatment and provide the safest care possible.
*All patients will be required to bring their own face mask or face covering to wear while in our office. We have very limited supplies at this time, so we are unable to provide one for you.
*One of our staff members will be taking your temperature with a non-contact thermometer before you are seen.
*The temperature in our office is required to be set at a lower than normal temperature, so be sure to bring a jacket or sweater if you tend to get cold.
*If you have any symptoms within two weeks of your appointment that are related to the virus, please call our office and we will be happy to reschedule you for a later date.
*Please keep in mind that immunocompromised patients and those with preexisting health conditions are at an increased risk for contracting the virus. If you feel uncomfortable moving forward at this time with any appointments, we would be happy to reschedule you at a later date.
If for any other reason you need to contact us or have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email us! Our phone number is: 910-392-2920, and our email address is: [email protected].
Again, we thank you for your cooperation, patience and understanding during this time of transition. We value your trust and loyalty, and we look forward to welcoming you back to our practice.
Sincerely,
Dr. Caparelli, Dr. Mellis, and Team
