Moxie Pediatric Dentistry is getting ready to open in Wilmington, NC, and we’re looking for some amazing people to join our founding team! 💜🩵🩷

We’re a brand-new, independently owned pediatric dental practice focused on creating positive dental experiences, building confident kids, and making families feel right at home!

We’re currently hiring for TWO positions:

🦷 FRONT DESK & INSURANCE COORDINATOR

We’re looking for someone who is friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with dental insurance!

⭐ Dental insurance and claims experience required

⭐ Knowledge of insurance verification, benefits, and EOBs

⭐ Excellent communication and organizational skills

⭐ A positive attitude and a passion for helping families

🪥 DENTAL ASSISTANT

We’re looking for someone who is kind, energetic, dependable, and loves working with kids!

Required certifications:

✅ Dental Radiography

✅ Coronal Polishing

✅ Nitrous Oxide Monitoring

Pediatric experience is NOT required! We’re happy to train the right person who has the required certifications and a great attitude!

🎃👻 CAVITIES ARE SPOOKY! 🦷🍬

Halloween should be full of treats, not tricks on your teeth!

At Moxie Pediatric Dentistry, we believe kids can enjoy the Halloween fun while keeping their smiles healthy! 💜

Here are a few tips for a fang-tastic, cavity-conscious Halloween:

🍭 Choose your treats wisely! Chocolate is generally a more tooth-friendly choice than sticky, chewy candies that cling to teeth.

🎃 Timing matters! Enjoy candy with meals instead of snacking on sweets throughout the day.

🪥 Brush away the spooky stuff! Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste and floss every day.

💧 Water is your superpower! A few sips after candy can help wash away lingering sugars.

✨ Because the only thing spooky this Halloween should be the costumes!

✨ MEET DR. AMY ✨

Hi Wilmington! I’m Dr. Amy Lewis, pediatric dentist, mom, and the very excited human behind Moxie Pediatric Dentistry. 🦷💗

A little about me…

🌿 I grew up in southern West Virginia and graduated from WVU School of Dentistry.

🦷 I spent the first four years of my career working in public health, where I discovered that treating kids was absolutely my thing.

🎓 That led me to Chicago, where I completed my pediatric dentistry residency at UIC while also earning my Master of Public Health — with two very tiny humans at home at the time!

🌊 In 2019, my family moved to Wilmington, and it quickly became so much more than the place we lived. It became home.

👩‍👧‍👦 I’m mom to Annalie and Connor, two theater-loving kids who keep life loud, funny, and very entertaining.

🐶🐱 Our crew also includes Wren, our pup, and Butter, our cat.

And now, after years of dreaming about creating a pediatric dental office of my own, Moxie Pediatric Dentistry is coming to Wilmington. 💕🩵

I created Moxie because I believe kids deserve healthcare that feels personal. I want to know your child, listen to them, laugh with them, and give them the time they need. Dentistry doesn’t have to feel rushed, intimidating, or one-size-fits-all.

At Moxie, we’ll focus on prevention, conservative care whenever possible, and helping kids build a healthy relationship with dentistry that can last a lifetime.

Mostly, I want this to be a place where kids can walk in exactly as they are — and know they belong here. 💕

We’re so excited to introduce Moxie Pediatric Dentistry, a fresh, fun pediatric dental experience created just for kids, and the people who love them.

At Moxie, we believe a dental office can be a place where kids feel comfortable being completely themselves. A place filled with kindness, connection, fun, and really great dental care — all designed to help kids build confidence in their smiles from the very beginning.
