A little time spent learning goes a long way.

This afternoon, our team had the opportunity to learn from Angela, owner and physical therapist at Salt & Sage Therapy, about the connection between physical therapy, TMJ dysfunction, and comprehensive dental care.

Angela walked our team through hands-on techniques for TMJ massage and helped us better understand how physical therapy can complement the treatment of patients experiencing TMD symptoms.

We also discussed how this approach can work alongside splint therapy to address not only the teeth and bite, but the muscles and joints involved in jaw function.

We’re always looking for ways to expand our knowledge and collaborate with other healthcare professionals so we can provide our patients with a more complete approach to their care.

Sometimes, your bite doesn’t feel obviously wrong—but your teeth may be telling you otherwise.

That’s why we’ve added the newest T-Scan technology to our office.

T-Scan gives us a digital look at how your teeth come together, where your bite forces are concentrated, and whether certain teeth are taking more pressure than they should. Instead of relying solely on what we can see or what you can feel, we can actually measure what’s happening when you bite.

Pay attention to subtle signs like:

• A tooth that feels “high” when you bite
• Frequent jaw tension or soreness
• Chipping or excessive wear on your teeth
• Sensitivity when biting
• Crowns or fillings that never quite feel right
• Headaches or muscle fatigue around your jaw
• A bite that just doesn’t feel balanced

Yesterday was one of those days that reminds us why we love what we do. 🙌
We had the privilege of spending the day learning alongside Dr. Steve Hart, Dr. Glenn's mentor for the Pankey Scholar program, diving deeper into TMJ therapy, bite analysis, and splint adjustments—all while working together on a patient and learning from every step of the process.
We were also excited to add the T-Scan™ digital bite analysis system to our practice! This technology lets us see exactly how your bite functions in real time, helping us make more precise adjustments and provide even better care for our patients.
Days like this happen behind the scenes, but they're a big part of what makes the patient experience better. We believe the best dentistry comes from never stopping learning and always investing in the latest technology.
