Did you know that to properly absorb and retain Calcium and Phosphorus, the body needs a Fat-soluble vitamin?

We are talking about Vitamin D3.

Also, it’s is technically a hormone.
The most common form is synthesized in the skin after exposure to ultraviolet B radiation. Nevertheless, the thought is that vitamin D is more of a multifunctional hormone or prohormone. This is because vitamin D plays contributes to many processes in the body.
Many of the body’s organs and tissues have receptors for vitamin D, which suggest important roles beyond bone health.

If you are considering having any surgery where bone needs to be regenerated or healed, consider testing your vitamin D levels. If they are low, supplementation may be needed prior surgery.

Titanium dental implants have been considered the gold standard. But they have also been critiqued for their flaws.
Zirconia (ceramic) dental implants have proven to be an excellent alternative because of its superior soft-tissue response, biocompatibility and esthetics.
Esthetics: zirconia implants will not release ions that could stain the soft tissue (gingiva) and it’s white so it’s not going to show through thin gingiva. Making the ideal choice for an implant in the esthetic zone.
Biocompatibility: zirconia implants have great cell adhesion; excellent tissue response and it’s very compatible with surrounding bone.
Another plus for zirconia implants it’s the low bacterial colonization and low inflammatory response around it.
A person will never have a metal allergy reaction with zirconia implants.
