Teething can be tough on babies and parents💙
While it's tempting to try anything that promises relief, a few common remedies can actually do more harm than good.
AVOID:
• Teething necklaces or bracelets because they can be a choking and strangulation hazard.
• Teething gels with numbing ingredients unless your child's pediatrician recommends them.
• Amber necklaces. There is no proven benefit, and they can be dangerous.
• Frozen teething toys that are rock hard, as they can hurt little gums.
Instead, try a chilled (not frozen) teething ring, gently massage your baby's gums with a clean finger, or offer a cool, damp washcloth to chew on.
Every baby is different, but teething doesn't have to be overwhelming. If you have questions about your little one's oral health, we're always happy to help.
