No, she wasn’t playing hooky last week. Dr. Courtney spent last week in Birmingham at the Alabama Implant Education Center getting hands-on training in implant dentistry. She spent the week learning, performing implant surgeries, and sharpening her skills alongside some incredibly talented dentists. We are excited about what this means for the services that Stone Dental will be able to provide here in Wiggins.

A quick message to anyone without insurance and/or small business owners who aren't able to offer dental insurance to their employees: While sorting through EOBs this morning, we came across one for a patient who is under an employer-sponsored insurance. Her son came in for a cleaning and her insurance company pays so little and so disallows so much that (after paying her mandated co-pay) she had to pay more than half of what our annual membership would have cost her...which includes not one, but TWO cleanings and exams.

Every provider dreads dealing with insurance companies. People pay a lot of money for insurance. If it worked like it was supposed to, we wouldn't have to offer a membership plan, but here we are.

Dr. Rebecca Cooley Courtney graduated from Stone High School in 1994 and as a Tomcat 4 Life, she could not be more excited for the Tomcats of today to be getting ready to walk through these doors and hallways in the beautiful new Stone High School. It’s a gem that Stone County deserves and one that we should all be proud of.

Today, we celebrated an exciting milestone as the Stone County School District Board of Education officially cut the ribbon on our new Stone High School.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special occasion. We were honored to celebrate alongside students, families, employees, alumni, community members, elected officials, business partners, and friends of Stone County School District. Your presence made this day even more meaningful.

This is just the beginning! More photos from today's ribbon cutting and campus tours will be shared soon.

If you haven't heard, Dr. Rebecca Cooley Courtney has been spending some time onstage at Center Stage Biloxi recently and after every single performance of COME FROM AWAY sold out, it was extended for three more shows and tickets are on sale now! She would love nothing more than to see your beautiful smile in the audience this weekend!

3 MORE PERFORMANCES!! Let’s meet Rebecca Courtney (Bonnie & others) who is making her Center Stage debut. She previously appeared with MGCCC Perk Players in Mary Poppins, Matilda, The Wiz, and Annie, and at Gulfport Little Theatre in Steel Magnolias as M’Lynn. She is also a member of the Praise Team at First Baptist Church of Wiggins.
