Summer has come to an end and we are so happy to say that Dr. Nelson has had such a great opportunity to meet so many families during this off time from school. We have been together with Dr. Nelson for three months and going on our fourth; how quickly time flies. We hope that you have had a wonderful summer and we hope that you will give us a call if you have not been in for your check-up; remember preventative maintenance is the key for good oral health. We are so happy to have Dr Keith Nelson taking over and following in the footsteps of Dr Betz. Just finished 3 days at CDA convention at Anaheim CC. I took 7 classes ranging from oral lesions to the latest bonding techniques. I look forward to bringing my new knowledge into our practice. See ya, Dr. B

The CDA convention is a great way to see the latest new materials, equipment and techniques. Even in these financially stress times we felt the need to continue to improve our office. We purchased another soft tissue laser, another ultrasonic scaler which has more power settings so it can be tuned to make it more confortable, and the neatest portable shade taker to improve the esthetics of our crowns.

The CDA convention that I previously mentioned was a great success. Staff members attended courses on Infection control, California Dental Law, X-ray technique, Using soft tissue laser to treat gum disease, and CAMBRA. CAMBRA stands for CAries Management By Risk Assessment. It is a new way to access the risk level of patients using various tests such as acid level of saliva, and tests to determine bacteria levels.

May 13 - 16, our entire office will be attending the California Dental Association, (CDA) convention at the Anaheim Convention Center. This is one of the premier meetings in the country and many world famous dentist will be presenting. We will all be attending different classes and lectures to improve our knowledge and skills. We will also tour the commercial exhibits to see the latest in new equipment and supplies.
