5 Healthy Teeth Habits I Teach My Patients (And My Kid 😉)

As a dentist and a mom, these are the non-negotiables in our house:

🦷 1. Brush 2x a day — no excuses.
Morning breath is real… but bedtime brushing is the most important. Plaque loves to party while you sleep.

🪥 2. Don’t rush it. 2 full minutes.
Set a timer. Play a song. Make it fun. Thorough > fast.

🧵 3. Floss daily. Yes, daily.
If you’re not flossing, you’re only cleaning 60% of your teeth. Your toothbrush can’t reach between them!

💧 4. Choose water over juice & soda.
Your enamel will thank you. Sip smart.

👩🏻‍⚕️ 5. Don’t skip your cleanings.
Even perfect brushers need professional care. Prevention is cheaper (and easier) than treatment.

Healthy habits start at home — but they last a lifetime. 💙

There are days , like today, where I just want to sing to myself, ”Super hero me, super hero me , yaay!” 😂 💪

By day, I’m restoring smiles, leading a team, making critical decisions, and carrying the weight of my patients’ trust.

By night, I’m making dinner, wiping tears, helping with homework, and being someone’s whole world.

It’s not “easy.”
It’s not “balanced.”
It’s not always glamorous.

It’s back-to-back schedules.
It’s high standards at work and high standards at home.

But it’s also POWER.
It’s PURPOSE.
