We provided neighbors with 68 vaccines during our 3rd annual vaccination drive this past Saturday!! A huge thank you to our Board, volunteers, and staff for being there to vaccinate community members interested in protecting themselves against seasonal illness! Our organization’s ability to care for our neighbors’ health, dental, and mental health needs is all thanks to the generous supporters who continue to believe in our work and in a stronger, healthier Upper Valley community. Thanks to our friends, Willing Hands, for delivering 320 pounds of food for our patients during Hunger Action Month (throughout the month of September)! The food deliveries given to our organization through this partnership allow our patients to have access to healthy foods at the time of their appointment, not only in September, but year round. Without the support from our clinic, our patients have shared that they regularly worry about running out of food. We are so grateful to have opportunities like this available for our patients!!

In addition to this immediate resource, our staff work closely with those we serve to learn about their eligibility for food benefits, share more about benefit eligibility requirements, community dinners, mobile food pantries, and local food pantries near them. With food insecurity growing in Vermont and New Hampshire, we want to provide as many opportunities for access as possible! 🍎

It’s the first day of school! Today marks the kickoff of Adult Ed’s Dental Assisting classes and our Administrative Coordinator, Mariah, is an excited new learner! Over the next 10 weeks, classes will allow students to gain the skills and confidence needed to enter the workforce as Dental Assistants. “I’m really looking forward to gaining a better understanding of the dental field in order to be a better clinical teammate and support to the dental clinic team”.

Are you in need of a flu vaccine?? Good Neighbor Health Clinic is hosting our Flu Vaccine Drive Through Event on Saturday, October 3rd from 9AM to 3PM! To access this event, enter via the driveway off of Gates Street.

No appointments are required, but we're only able to provide vaccines for neighbors 18 and older! Please share this event with anyone who may be in need of a vaccine, especially those who do not have insurance. We look forward to seeing you there 🍎

This month's pop-up clinic will be Tuesday, September 15 at 160 Mechanic Street in Lebanon. Stop by from 11am-2pm for help finding a doctor or with medications, access to food, wound care, haircuts, and more. All are welcome.

Good Neighbor Health Clinic's Patient Care Coordinator, Brianna, recently obtained her certification for becoming a Clinical Medical Assistant! With this additional credential, our medical team is at full clinical capacity - each team member is able to give vaccinations, complete lab work, and provide clinical care‼

"I'm very happy to finally be MA certified!", Brianna shared, "it's something that I've been wanting to do for a while now, so when the opportunity was presented to me here at GNHC, I knew I wanted to take the course! I'm beyond thankful for what this opportunity has given me and am so excited to see where my future leads here at Good Neighbor Health Clinic!". Congratulations, Brianna!! ⚕
