Today, our DDMD family lost someone truly irreplaceable.
Linda Carnes dedicated 47 years to dentistry and over 30 years to caring for patients within our practice. She worked alongside countless doctors over the years, to a point where she used to joke that she had worked with nearly 70 of them, and I always told her I planned on being number 71 so she could retire with me someday.
Linda was the definition of dedication. She stayed late without complaint, worked through lunches, came in on weekends for emergencies, and gave every ounce of herself to her patients and team. She cared deeply, worked tirelessly, and was a constant source of honesty, strength, (sometimes frustration 😅), but always support for everyone around her.
For me personally, she was there from the very beginning of my career. Dr. Weng and I were young doctors, walking into leading an established office, and somehow, despite all odds, we became the perfect team. She helped shape not only the practice we built together, but specifically the doctor I had become.
Our office will not be the same without her laugh, her opinions, her stories, her unmatched work ethic, and yes, even the crazy hair.
To our patients: Thank you for loving her the way so many of us did. We know many of you shared special relationships and memories with Linda over the years, and she truly valued those relationships. Please keep her family, friends, and our team in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
Linda, thank you for everything. We will carry your memory with us in these sterilization and operatories forever.
Until we meet again. 💖
