We’re happy to announce that Westport Family Dental has resumed seeing patients for routine care.
We hope you and your loved ones have managed to stay safe the past two months. Our team has spent this time staying up to date with the science and guidelines released by the CDC and American Dental Association. We have developed protocols designed to provide care in an environment that is safe for both our patients and team. Here is what you will see at your next visit:
- Prior to being seen, patients will be asked to complete a wellness questionnaire, use hand sanitizer, and have their temperatures and oxygen saturation checked. Patients exhibiting symptoms or increased risks will be asked to reschedule.
- No waiting room: all patients will be escorted to their private treatment room immediately.
- Clean air: all windows and doors are open to keep the fresh air flowing (so bring an extra layer on chilly days). We've also invested in HEPA air filtration systems that turn over the air in treatment rooms 5x/hour. Lastly, we are spacing out appointments so treatment rooms will be empty for at least 90 minutes between patients for proper disinfection.
- Clean surfaces: Our office will continue to employ universal precautions and the highest sterilization procedures but you will notice the addition of more disposable surface barriers.
- Depending on the procedure, you may also notice our additional personal protective equipment like a face shield, gown and extra mask (or two).
We’re excited to see you again and look forward to helping you maintain your oral health. If you have any questions or if there’s anything we can help you with, please give us a call or text at our office number, or find time on our schedule by clicking the "Book Now" button on the upper right.
