Dear Weston Orthodontics Family,
We hope this email finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and we are looking forward to resuming our normal routine. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your orthodontic care and safety.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We subscribe to these agencies because your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us.
Weston Orthodontics’ revised policies and clinical protocols represent the latest recommendations from experts in infection control, universal precautions, and social distancing. Accordingly, we have also expanded our personal protective equipment (PPE) inventory. We thank you in advance for your patience as you experience these changes. As you plan for your next visit, please make note of the following “New Normal”.
It’s A New Normal
We have dramatically reduced patient volume to follow social distancing and infection control guidelines.
What to Do Before Arrival
■ Brush and floss your teeth at home. We are not allowing tooth brushing at our office to eliminate transfer of bacteria or virus.
■ Wear a mask, bandana, or scarf to your appointment.
■ If you or someone in your household feel poorly or have a fever, please reschedule your appointment.
Arrival Protocol
■ Please call our office at 781-894-1127 and let us know that you have arrived. We will let you know when we have a chair ready for you.
■ We will record your temperature using a contactless thermometer and provide hand sanitizer. We will request that patients rinse with Peroxyl anti-microbial mouthwash.
■ Parents: We ask that you remain in the car to minimize the number of people in the office, except under special circumstances. This will assist us in meeting our social distancing and infection control requirements. If you would like to es**rt your child, you will also be subject to the full Arrival Protocol.
Dismissal from Appointment
■ Parents: If you prefer, we will be happy to es**rt your child to your car at the end of the appointment. If necessary, we will call to update you by the end of the day.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you and your family safe in our practice. We have been hard at work getting our office ready and we look forward to welcoming you! Thank you for trusting us with your family’s orthodontic care.
Sincerely,
Unae K. Han,DMD and staff
