Peg laterals are naturally smaller or underdeveloped upper lateral incisors. While they are a normal variation, they can affect the balance and symmetry of a smile.

For this patient, we combined several treatments to create a more harmonious, natural-looking smile:

🚣‍♂️🦷 After a kayaking accident, this young patient fractured a front tooth. Fortunately, the patient’s mother brought the broken fragment, allowing us to reattach it and restore the smile using the patient’s own natural tooth structure. ✨

Fragment reattachment is a conservative treatment that can provide excellent esthetic results and help preserve the tooth while the patient is still growing, allowing us to buy time before considering more definitive treatment in the future.

If a tooth breaks, save the fragment, keep it moist, and contact your dentist as soon as possible!
