Thank you Dr. Jillian Joyce with Carmel Distinctive Dental for hosting the 2026 Women in Dentistry meeting! You hosted 80 women at your home so graciously and it truly was such a special event.

I loved meeting the next generation of women in dentistry. For me it was especially nostalgic after celebrating my 20th year as a dentist to look back and remember where I started and how I felt and to reflect and be grateful for where I stand now.

Also, always great to see women I share patients with who own amazing practices of their own including Dr. Tara Emerick with Emerick Orthodontics and Dr. Lara Parker with Noblesville Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

And the two women that rolled into my life the first day of dental school in a Jeep Wrangler blasting Ludacris who walked with me on our shared journey to becoming dentists, Dr. Bre Mundy current dental instructor to the next generation and Dr. Suzanne Allmand owner of Apex Payment Solutions keeping banks in check with their fees. Such an example that you can do anything as along as you don't do it alone.

If you’re running on empty and need a fun option for an afternoon outing with your kids, Oinking Acres in Brownsburg is absolutely worth the drive! My anesthesiologist that works with our office (Dr Henne with PDAA) is such an animal lover and a big supporter of the farm. She convinced me to take a drive out there.
There’s free roaming potbelly pigs, chickens, sheep, and turkeys. There are horses, goats, and little piglets too.
The owner is super impressive, too. She started all this when she was 16 years old with her mom helping set up her 503c nonprofit organization.

Long time local favorite oral surgeon Dr Potee recently retired and his associate Dr Lora Parker took full ownership of Noblesville Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. She dropped off updated referrals forms and the absolute cutest teeth shaped white sparkly hair claws! I do love a cute dental theme accessory 🙂 Thank you, Dr Lora!

I was caught off guard by how I felt when my son got his braces off. It felt just like when he lost his first tooth. One minute he had his braces on looking like a young teen and then the next the braces are gone and he looks ready for a learner’s permit and has twenty bottles of cologne on his bathroom counter.

However, back to young teenager when he tore into the pack of gummies Dr Carly gave him 🤦🏻‍♀️

Also, had to snap a quick pic while walking out of the tiny “67” someone drew in the sprayed snow on the office’s window.

Christmas cookies and a Bears win over the Packers means Christmas magic is in the air!!

Just a reminder that our office will be closed Wednesday, Dec 24th and reopen Tuesday Dec 30th for our staff to make memories with their families. And to watch football. And eat more Christmas cookies :)
