Dear Friends and Patients:

The Ohio Department of Health, in conjunction with Governor Dewine, has issued guidance on how to continue dental care for our patients. In addition, the State Board of Dentistry and Dental Association and other organizations worked with the Department of Health to further outline how to better protect and serve patients and dental teams during this pandemic. As they have proposed those protective measures, Serene Smiles is currently working to set up the necessary procedures to take care of your oral health care needs. You will notice some differences in how we do things and how we protect each of you and us. We will continue to follow the high level of sterilization that we have followed before COVID-19, with some increased procedures. We will share more information about these safety precautions once everything is in place. We are looking forward to reopening on Monday May 4th for cleanings and dental. We recognize that many dental needs have been put off, and we appreciate your patience as we navigate this time and process of reopening together. As always, the health and safety of you, our team, and families, is of utmost importance to us. We will do our best to reach out to those whose appointments have been affected the last two months, to get your appointment rescheduled. Please call the office if you have not heard from us by a couple of weeks.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: When you arrive for your appointment, we ask all patients to remain in their cars. Call the front office to check in for your appointment. We will come get you when your room is ready and we will also screen each patient via questionnaire and temperature, prior to you entering for your appointment. In addition, all persons need to arrive to their appointment with a personal face mask or face covering on, before entering. While this is not a requirement for small children, it is recommended when possible.

We look forward to seeing you soon and helping you with your oral healthcare needs again!

Dear Serene Smiles Dental Family,

We seek to care for our patients and their families in a warm, welcoming and clean environment. We follow the strictest guidelines in sterilization and disinfection in all of our patient rooms and will continue to do so. During this time of heightened awareness of sickness and disease, we will continue to follow CDC and ADA guidelines of universal precautions that include wearing masks, protective eye wear and maintaining a clean, welcoming and safe environment for our patients. We are increasing our disinfection practices of our common areas, including the waiting room, to help decrease the spread of germs.

As we continue to serve the needs of our patients we ask that if you or your child are sick, please help us keep others safe by staying at home these include experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cough, or body aches. We ask that you contact our office and reschedule your appointment with no penalty provided you have spoken with one of our team members. We, as a team, will follow the same guidance to keep our office and patients safe and healthy.

If you have any questions regarding the novel coronavirus please see the following link:

As always, remember to wash your hands, cover your cough, and stay away from others if you are not feeling well. Let us all work together to maintain and improve health in our community.

We may be living in uncertain times, but one thing you can continue to rely upon is the top-notch dental treatment & comfort and care that Serene Smiles is known for.

Thank you,
Doctors & Serene Smiles Staff
