🦷 Severe jaw pain after a filling? Here’s why it can happen.

Some soreness after a dental filling is normal, but persistent pain may be caused by a few things:

• Bite misalignment (high filling) causing extra pressure when chewing
• TMJ or jaw muscle strain from keeping your mouth open during treatment
• Nerve irritation inside the tooth, especially after deep cavities

⚠️ Call your dentist if:
Pain lasts more than a week, your bite feels uneven, or swelling and severe sensitivity develop.
