💍 May 1 was the best & most surprising day of my life!! We got ENGAGED!! Love you so much ♥️♥️♥️!!
Kris: “Let’s hike to The Pinnacle and then do something fun”
Me: *hates hiking* “Okay, why?”
Kris: “We need some spring content for our Vermont IG”
Me: “okay sounds good”
Me while hiking: *sees a random red rose on the trail* *watches too many thrillers and horror films* “what the hell?? I bet it’s poisoned. Don’t pick it up I bet a net will trap us and we’ll never be seen again”
Me: *sees more roses* “oh my god this is creepy! Something happened on this mountain today. I’m going to document these roses on our way down”
Kris: *agrees they are murder roses*
Both: *arrive at Pinnacle after hiking 1.7 miles*
Me: *sees rose petals spelling out, “Will you marry me?”
Me: “oh my god someone got engaged today!”
Kris: *gets on one knee*
Me: “REALLY?!?!?!!!!!”
“F*ckin moron, it’s me!!!”
**laughs hysterically, forgets to say yes**
