Friday fun fact: 🦷 🐿️ 🤔
Squirrel teeth, specifically their four front incisors, are elodont, meaning they never stop growing throughout their lives, sometimes growing up to six inches per year. To prevent these teeth from growing into their skulls, squirrels must constantly gnaw on hard objects like nuts and bark, which wears them down to a proper, functional length.
